How do I create a Document Requirement?

Follow

What is it?

The Document Requirement is a Labor Cloud requirement option. This requirement allows clients to configure and request documents tailored to their needs. For example, the client can configure whether the document requires an expiration date. Clients can even hide the requirement from workers if it only needs internal monitoring.

What it means:

Clients are responsible for review and approval of these requirements.

  1. Go to Labor Clouds in Talent section on left hand menu
  2. Choose your existing Public labor cloud, or create a new one
  3. Go to DETAILS tab

4. Click the pencil icon next to Requirements

5. Click ‘Use custom requirements’ option. The Labor Cloud will default to deactivating members who no longer meet requirements

6. Choose ‘Documents’ as the type of requirement

6. You can either choose to use an existing document requirement you have previously created, or you can create a new one.

If you’d like to create a new Document Requirement, select the next toggle and choose a name for this Requirement.

You’ll see all configuration options on the screen. Here is a summary and some details.

  1. Requirement Name : Choose a name that will be clear to your contractors. You have the option of adding instructions, as well as providing a sample document.
  2. Expiration Options: if no expiration is needed, simply choose ‘Document Never Expires”. If an expiration is needed, review the 3 options and choose which works best.
  3. Additional Options: This is where you can configure the document to be internal, preventing contractors from having visibility, or if the contractor will be responsible for uploading this document. This section is also where you’ll decide whether the document will require approval.

7. After you configure the requirement, click the blue ADD button.

8. Now you’ll see your newly created requirement. In this example, we named it “Drivers License”.

9. Be sure to click the green SAVE button to ensure the requirement is fully added to your Labor Cloud.

You’re all done. If you need to edit this document requirement, click the pencil icon. Reference steps 6-9 for more information on document settings.
