Account Termination Due To Sanctions


What does it mean if my account is terminated due to sanctions?


WorkMarket will terminate your account if it’s based in a region sanctioned by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). This is in accordance with the US economic and trade sanctions law restrictions. If sanctions in your region are lifted, you will be able to use the platform again by creating a new WorkMarket account. If your account is terminated and you believe that such termination is in error because you are not located in a sanctioned region, please contact WorkMarket support at



Assignments and Payments:


  • If you have assignments that have not been approved yet, please contact your client to arrange approval and payment off-platform.
  • If you have funds on the WorkMarket platform for completed assignments, you will not be able to withdraw those funds, and they will be returned to your client (where legally allowed) to make other payment arrangements where possible. Please contact your client with questions about arranging payment off-platform.
