You can submit your tax information by logging into either the desktop version of the platform or mobile application.
From the desktop site, navigate to the top right icon (looks like a person or your profile photo) and select Settings in the drop down > from the left menu (not quite where the My Profile, My Work sections are) and select Tax Info from the bullet list. (Tax Information)
From the the mobile application, navigate to Profile > the gear icon > Tax and Payment Settings > and enter your tax information.
Please note, once submitted, the tax information is sent directly to the IRS database for verification. The verification process takes 2-3 business days on average.
*International tax information does not undergo a verification process, however the information submitted must be unique in the system.
If you’re seeing that your tax information is rejected, we recommend reaching out to the IRS to verify your information on file. You can reach the IRS here: https://www.irs.gov/help/telephone-assistance.
If when submitting your tax information you receive an error message stating the information already exists on the platform, this commonly suggests you have a previous account on the platform and will be unable to add the same tax information. If you receive an error that something went wrong when submitting, please recheck your information and make sure the activation date is listed as the same date as submission.
To make a change to your tax information, you can access the Tax Info or Tax Documentation sections within your settings. Please note that any modification to the tax information will result in the info being re-sent for verification and have the same turn around time of 2-3 business days.
